» articles & tutorialsFinal Fantasy 7: To Beat The Ultimate Weapons...
You want proof? My FF7 save data has been used for 27 hours. I beat Sephiroth after 13, but I went back to get everything I missed. I sepnt about 6 hours breeding chocobos, and 3 training to fight those Weapons. If you want proof, I'll take a picture of my save data, and email it to he who asks. Only thing, I need to get a PSX or PS2 to run the game on (I had my PSX "temporarily" taken away. *@$%@$@$% and random, incoherent mumling*) The ultimate weapons can only be accessed in disk 3, and each have about 1,000,000 HP!!! The best way to attack these weapons is by W-Summoning Knights of the Round. 8-9 summons should beat each. But, there are additional strategies and procedures necessary besides just hitting them head on. For example, you need to have many items, be at high levels, master basic materia, and upgrade summon materia at least once. Here is the desirable equipment, levels, etc. you should have on each character: Have everyone be at least level 50... preferrably 60 or above. Materia: HP+ MP+ Restore linked with All Revive linked with All (For two only) Equipment: Mystile (This increases your magical dodge rate) Here is what at least one person should have: Knights of the Round linked with HP Absorb (the other two party members should have Mime) Diablos? (I can't remember his name, but he's the summon that cast "Black Cauldron" or something) Final Attack linked with Revive Items: Many Elixirs, X-Potions, and most importantly, Turbo Ethers; at least two Hero drinks for each battle First, you need to upgrade Knights of the Round <i>at least</i> once... preferrably twice or more (if you have the patience). This allows you to summon Knights of the Round more than once per battle. If you have the Final Attack materia, then the person who has it equipped will cast Life 2 upon his/her death if he/she has final attack linked with Revive. <color=blue>Emerald Weapon</color> Now, Emerald weapon (the one swimming in the depths of the sea near Junon town) is the easier as the two, but it uses an attack called "Air Tam Storm" or something that deals 1,111 damage for each materia attached to all your party members! Either reduce the amount of materia equipped to each by 8, or hope you get lucky, and W-Summon KotR 8-9 times before it can use it's special attack. If you have KotR linked with HP absorb, then you will absorb 9,999 HP every summon. This is great for when Emerald Weapon counterattacks. Make sure you use the mime materia to mimic the W-Summon KotR as well as the HP absorb function! Remember, the mime function repeats EXACTLY WHAT YOUR LAST PARTY MEMBER DID! This means that if summon counterattacked, the mimer will counterattack. If the last party member used a Final Attack Revive, then the mimer will use a Final Attack Revive! You have a time limit to fight Emerald if you don't have the underwater materia, but using this method, you should be able to beat Emerald with at least 3 minutes left on the clock. To make things easier, change the battle speed to recommended (not wait, because if you want to use mime, but only have one or two mimers, then you want them to mime rather than have the non-mimer attack or something, disrupting the flow of the W-summoning of KotR). You shouldn't have too much of a problem with the Emerald Weapon. For beating Emerald, you get a harp or something. An old man in the village of Kalm will trade you three Master Materia for it! Normal magic (Cure, Revive, Haste, Fire, Ultima, etc!), Summon, and skill master materias are given to you! A master materia has every single ability of its type in one materia, and each skill can be used an unlimited amount of times!!! <color=red>Ruby Weapon</color> Now, we face off against the crazy Ruby Weapon... the hardest RPG boss EVER (if you use conventional methods to fight it)!!! Ruby is the red scorpion like thing "swimming" around the Gold Saucer. Ram with your airship to fight it. Ruby is insane... so fricking insane! Ruby tends to use an attack that will eliminate a party member from battle. To prevent this, enter the battle with two of you party members all already dead, ko'd, whatever you want to call it. Don't worry, you can use them. Once Ruby digs its claws into the ground and up behind you, it's safe to revive you dead party members. To do this quickly, W-Summon Diablos (or whatever his name is) and Phoenix IN THAT ORDER! You will paralyze Ruby, and revive everyone to full health. Now, give everyone a hero's drink, Turbo Ether the character who did the previous summoning, and now start W-Summoning KotR. If Ruby gets un-paralyzed, then it will cast Ultima on the entire party once you use KotR. If you have Mystiles equipped, then Ultima should have a high chance of missing. For those who can't avoid it, the KotR-HP Absorb combination to restore health to the caster, so even if two characters die, as long as the caster has mime, you have nothing to worry about. It's advisable to have Final Attack linked with Revive for this match. For beating Ruby, you et a Desert Rose which you can trade with the same man in Kalm for a Gold Chocobo... ...you need a Gold Chocobo to get KotR in the first place, and a bred Gold Chocobo is better than the one he gives you... What a waste. Anyway, that was my method, and they worked for me. Both fights take about 15 minutes each, and I rarely lose if I do use this method. It's always a good idea to beat Emerald to get the Master materias first before fighting Ruby. If you find any errors, or if you have any questions, then email me at: ace_strife@mail.com I should email you back within a day or two... I'm a newb, and will always be newb on this site, so don't think I won't email you back... |
