Another one of my FAQs. This is one is shorter than my FF7 FAQ, but it\'s still packing quite a bit of important info.

So, let's get to it! Frequently asked questions of Final Fantasy 8. Note how stupid some people can get. XD

Q: Why do so many people not like FF8?

A: Well, FF8 takes a completely different turn from traditional Final Fantasies. For one, it's more reallistic. For another, levelling up doesn't do much for you. A third thing is that you can only get Gil through salary. A fourth problem is that there are no real treasure chests for you to open. A fifth reason is that you gain spells from "drawing" them out from opponents.

These drastic changes make oldies wary when it comes to FF8.

Q: Who is Squall's dad?

A: This one is asked a lot, and answered almost immediately. Squall's dad is Laguna! His mom is Raine. Rinoa's mom is none other than Julia - Laguna's original love interest.

Q: Does that mean that Squall and Rinoa are actually brother and Sister!?

A: No. Idiots. Do you pay attention to the game? The next day after Laguna and Raine "flirt," Laguna and co. are dispatched on assignment. They eventually end up getting seperated, and Laguna ends up in Raine's hometwon (Winhill?). Laguna and Raine get married, and have Squall. Laguna disappears shortly after Raine gets pregnant, and Raine dies in childbirth. Julia marries General Caraway, and has Rinoa. I'm not sure, but I think Julia dies in a car crash. That's the rumor, anyway. However, the other stuff is completely true no matter what (except the Julia dying thing).

Q: How do I get Ultima magic?

A: The best way to get Ultima magic is to go fight the Ultima Weapon. He's not too hard, and you gain a ton of experience heading down to him (you'll almost ALWAYS get to level 100, even if you start out at level 20 when you enter the dungeon). Draw Eden from the weapon, and then spend the next half hour or so trying to draw 100 Ultima spells for all three party members. Now, junction Ultima to your elemental resistance, and you'll be invincible to ALL elemental attacks! This is not limited to enemy spells - it includes enemy skills!

Q: Where IS the Ultima Weapon?

A: In the Deep Sea Research center. You have to fight Bahamut first, leave, and then come back.

Q: Where is the Deap Sea Re-

A: Go look at a map on some other site dammit! How can I show you with text!?

Q: Where can I get Energy Crystals?

A: You can steal them from the rare Elnoyle or from high level Ruby Dragons.

Q: I like Squall.

A: THAT'S NOT EVEN A QUESTION!!!!

Q: Why is Squall so un-emotional?

A: Do you pay attention to the story!? He's unemotional because he pretty much has no one. His "big sis" (Ellone) leaves him suddenly, and he was left alone by his parents (mom died, dad disappears). From that pain and hurt, he becomes the anti-social guy we see in FF8.

Q: Is Ellone really his sister?

A: Yes and no. Everyone calls her "Big Sis" because she was the oldest orphan in the orphanage. But she wasn't a blood relative of anyone there. However, she was adopted by Squall's parents just before Squall was born, so in essence, she really is Squall's sister.

Q: How do you beat Jumbo Cactuar?

A: Just pull off a Renzokuken on him. You need to pull the trigger at the right times, though, in order to make Jumbo give in. Otherwise, you can go at it for hours and never beat him. The cactuars are weak to the gunblade for some reason. But mainly when the trigger is pulled at the right time. I'm not sure why Square did that, but they did.

Q: How can I beat the Omega Weapon?

A: With lots of luck, and lots of patience as well as the right junctions. Junction Triple to your speed, Ultima to Elemental Defense, and Quake to your Strength. Full-Life maxes out HP.

Well, that's part 1. I'll be back in part 2.

Part 2 will have the most important, advanced, and SECRET stuff in it. I'm just short on time right now, is all.
