ongrats all, I'm gonna start doing a monthly, video game review. It might be more than monthly if i feel the need to review a game quickly.

Custom Robo
Console: NGC
Genre: RPG

Seeing as this is a site comprised of mostly RPG lovers my first review is for an RPG. It's RPG-like anyway. Custom Robo for the Gamecube is a strange game. It has a few major flaws, its most glaring being that its on the Gamecube in the first place.

Storyline:
Basically your a kid whose dad died recently. He left a will saying that you are to become a Robo Commander. Robos are tiny robots that come out in virtual worlds and thats how people fight in that world. You go out to a mercenary group to join up. They hire you because their understaffed and you get a robo on your first mission. You go through a few missions then eventually stories of a "living" robo come up. You get caught up in the conspiracy and the story just grows from there. Its a decent story but its told in a corney and childish way. It gets a 3.

Graphics:
The in game graphics are possibly the worst of this day and age. The Gamecube has the capability of so much more but they look like something from the Dreamcast. The battle graphics, however, are the kind of graphics we've come to expect in this day and age. They're good enough to raise the graphics score from its first score of 1 to a nice strapping 2.

Sound/Music:
The music is standard stuff, but the battle music is good. The sound is horrible though. The characters don't even talk which is someting I've come to expect in this day and age. it gets a 3

Battle System:
You run around randomly blasting customizable weapons, no finesse or style to it at all. It gets an unenthusiastic 3.

I would have to say that I don't mind this game. Its not bad overall, but it's not exactly good. It's of an average nature, but on the low end of it. My best suggestion is rent the game and then decide from there. I really can't advise buying it though.
