Tells you how to connect to our IRC channel.

W

ell, first, download and install mIRC. You should have NO trouble doing this. To find the site - just google mIRC.

Now, run the program.

Setting up mIRC:
1. click "Tools" then "Options".
2. Under "Connect" fill in your full name or an alias.
3. Fill in a valid email address.
4. Fill in your primary nickname (the one you want to use).
5. Fill in an alternate nickname in case your primary nickname is currently taken (more on this later).

6. Click on the tab that says "Servers" (you may have to expand "general" or "connect" options to see this).
7. Click the "add server" button.

8. Fill in the following:
Description: Whahay
IRC: irc.whahay.net
Port: 6667
9. Click "Ok".

10. Now make sure the server you added - Whahay - is selected in the IRC Server box. Click "Connect to server".
11. It should do a bunch of crap and bring up a box with a list of channels on it. Select the one that says "#blade2k". If it fails to connect, chances are you are using a firewall. In this case, I tried random ports and found 7000 to work. Oh yeah, and if you are using Windows XP and you have that moron internal firewall running, you'll have to tell it to unblock mIRC (OF COURSE IT SENDS INFORMATION OVER THE INTERNET! IT'S A CHAT RELAY PROGRAM!) ..anyway.

You should now be good to go. The next step is to register your nickname.
When connected to a channel type:

/msg nickserv register pass email
where:
pass is the password you want to use and
email is the email you provided (valid email) in your connection options.

Now, open up "Options" again.
This time, select "Connect" then "Options".
You'll see a button called "Preform", click on it.
Preform gives you the option of automatically preforming certain commands upon connection to any server.
Make sure the "enable preform upon connect" is checked, and that the dropdown below is set to "all networks."

Now in the preform command box add the following:
/msg NickServ IDENTIFY pass
where:
pass is the password you chose when registering.

This will automatically identify you when you log onto mIRC (otherwise, you have to re-enter the command every time you log on!)

There ya go, you're all good to go.
