O

ver the past couple of months, I've had people submitting games for review... and they were doing it all wrong... in this article... I will rant about how to do it right. Now read this very very carefully... And next time someone screws up their submitting I will personally print this out and shove it down their throat!

Okay... first of all... get a reliable host to host your game. I don't want anything submitted that is hosted on lycos, geocities, angelfire etc. Some free hosts are ok... but most of them do not allow direct linking... and therefore screw up or review system thingy... so... the bottom line is, don't host on some shitty host that doesn't allow direct linking.

Make sure you have all the areas filled out properly... A few games were named 'pikachu' in the review queue, and it's just more work for me to figure out what the hell the game's real name was. If you put the right name in it, I won't have to type it out one more time than is neccessary. This makes Ramza a happy little clam..., got it?

If your game has no website, DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN THAT HEADING. If I were looking at a neat game and decided to check out it's website and ended up redownloading it I wouldn't be happy. Most download links are long, long enough that dumb people don't know they're not the website link. Don't ask me how, or even why I care... just if you don't have a website. leave that form blank!

To submit for a review, click the 'submit for review' button on the right side of the site. It's right underneath your BMS counter thing. You can't miss it. The one below that is to submit a Preview of your game. Do not do that if you have a demo.

A preview is like a big taunt to people... You make one to show off the game before it has a demo. If it has a demo submit it for review. do not submit a preview if you have a demo. I can not stress that enough. 'The RuneBlade Destiny' has been submitted as a preview, even though it has a demo... in fact, the website url is a link to it's download. I'm sure somewhere on the site, it tells you not to submit a preview if you have a demo... but some people just don't listen...

Well.. that about covers it... Stay out of trouble
