By-Devinfire(Reinas) (Exclusive to Blade2k, DXrpg, and Death House Productions) Switches- Ever want to make a treasure chest stay empty? Ever want to make a boss monster? Switches are the way to go. Switches make the events change to a new page, change things in battles, and many more things. I'll give an example of these. "The Treasure Chest." Open up a project, and make a new event, and add a new page now, to make it easier later on. Change the graphic for the first page to a closed chest, and the second page to the open one. Make a switch, named "treasure", and change the first switch spot under "Event Conditions" to the switch you just created. Back to the first page, choose the item or gold you want to put in the chest. Use add item or add gold for this. It would be best to put a sound effect in there, along with a message telling the player what they just got. Then add a change switch event at the bottom of page one, turning the "Treasure" Switch on. And there you have it! You just made a basic treasure chest, with switches! After learning the basics about switches, my best advice is to experiment more with switches. |
