The most simple command in the whole table within the "Move Events Command" is the directional moving buttons. It moves the character. The chart below shows how long it takes for the character to move twenty consecutive paces with what frequency, all at normal speed. Just divide by twenty to get an approximate speed for one pace(about .14 seconds). NOTE: this is with the normal speed, just lower frequencies. Frequency :: Time 1 :: 71.7 secs 2 :: 37 secs 3 :: 19.6 secs 4 :: 10.9 secs 5 :: 6.6 secs 6 :: 4.4 secs 7 :: 3.3 secs 8 :: 2.2 secs This should help time the movements of characters if you want them to do something. Jumping does not effect the movement timing of the character. Jumping straight up and down takes the same time as it does to take a step (.14 seconds). Moving diagonally does not effect the speed, either. The only way to effect the speed is to "Increase-" or "Decrease Speed." Decrease Speed :: Halves the speed of the character, doubling the time. Increase Speed :: Doubles the speed of the character, halving the time. Wait :: Pauses movement for .3 seconds; changing speed does not effect the wait period (i.e. at half speed, the pause will still be .3 seconds) Email at xtremedrummerguy@hotmail.com |
