Shown below are a few screenshots of me getting my ass handed. This game is VERY HARD. I suppose Kanodaisuke wanted to challenge his players to the limit, but this is just overboard. I could not finish this game even after cheating myself up to a high level in testplay mode. On the plus side, there are minigames that are not integrated into the game, but can be accessed when opened in the editor. Graphics 7/10 RTP characters. The main character is the ever-so-famous Alex sprite. Pretty much the whole game is RTP, but the maps are fairly interesting. Sounds and Tunes 6/10 It's mostly Final Fantasy music. Other than that the music was great. Story 7/10 The intro is very polished and sexy. You're escaping from soldiers after robbing a king. Sadly, it is the ONLY time the game goes by a story. After that, you are left with a word to explore and you lack direction and goals. Features 6/10 The Rafting Minigame is really great. Unfortunately, it is extremely easy. Other than that, the game is decent in terms of dungeon "puzzles" and whatnot. You've got got to be careful not to drown or to fall into the clutches of an invincible mimic. Calculation ((7+7+6+7+6)x 2 = 66) Overall rating: 66 Short and difficult are two ways to describe Spiral of Death. I take my hat off to whoever can beat this game without cheating. and to whoever wants to pick this game up for the RPG challenge of their lives, here are a few tips... ~Save after beating up the barrage of soldiers at the beginning. The robot will kill you multiple times. ~Play the chest game 10 times to get farther in the game. If you run out of money, then you are out of luck. ~Do not touch the coffin in the sewer dungeon or you will face the same fate I did. ~The key in the sewer dungeon can be found at a chain obn the left wall.
