In every village you visit there is a sub story unique to that place so there is always something going on. Every NPC that you talk to has three separate funny things to say. The humour is fantastic, I remember still laughing at the jokes sometime after I completed this great game. The humour is a perfect mixture of original material and spoofs from well-known sources such as ‘Final Fantasy’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’ and the well-written dialogue compliments this perfectly. Characters: (20/20) I have never seen a cast of characters so large and so well developed. There are about 50-60 characters that you meet and each of them has their own personality. Some ripped ones include Cloud and Kirby, but there are original ones like Smeg (I think) and the Pixel Pirates. An excellent array of characters. Gameplay: (19/20) Crazy Guy’s Journey is a puzzle game and I had puzzle games! However, it was so excellently designed that I actually enjoyed it! Also there were no random battles so if you get lost that is one less thing to worry about. There are numerous optional (but entertaining) battle systems, such as the loaf system and the Blob System. My only complaint was that there wasn’t a tutorial for Blob Battling (or atleast I didn’t find one). I looked very good but very confusing, I never got the hang of it. I was extremely disappointed when I finished this game, I didn’t want it to end, it was so much fun! Graphics: (19/20) Mac and Blue but there was a massive picture folder and loads of custom graphics. Mac and Blue are high quality chipsets anyway, I had absolutely no problem with the graphics at all, the custom character sets really improved the overall feel of them game. Audio: (20/20) A good selection of MIDI’s that fitted each scene perfectly. There were also no default SFX’s either, I don’t think. The MIDI’s were good and so were the SFX’s, no complaints here. Conclusion: (98/100) Crazy Guy’s Journey is a masterpiece. You get so used to playing really lousy RPGMaker Games that when you play something like Crazy Guy’s Journey, it’s like a breath of fresh air. Even if you don’t like puzzlers (like me) then you will still love Crazy Guy’s Journey, because of the excellent design and humour. Screenshots write a review
