![]() Pump Up The Valuum Developed By: NOFXReview By: Tumble_Weed Written on: Tuesday, August, 10th, 2004 at 12:11:37 am Rating: 100% Site: here Epitaph 2000 Alright I've sorta missed out on a couple of weeks of CD Reviewing but anyway here goes....finally you can have a review of NOFX's Pump Up The Valuum....and yes it's actually Tuesday....amazing... Hello Welcome to my review....i hope you don't think it's poo... Out of all my CD's I have this would probably be my most listened to. I think this is NOFX's best CD (and also the first NOFX CD I got), even though I only have four of them, this is better than the other three i have. Even though most people probably say Punk In Drublic Is their best CD I still go for this one as their best. Although Punk In Drublic Isn't far behind. This was my first punk CD....well besides a bunch of Frenzal Rhomb CDs (including Not So Tough Now) and a bunch of Millencolin CDs( Including Home From Home(Even though I got that CD after I got Pump Up The Valuum) The thing which makes this CD so good is that the whole thing seems to fit together nicely, some CDs just have a bunch of songs slapped in any order. This CD has the songs in a nicely flowing order And the songs all sound great, and the lyrics are nice too (in a silly way, of course) And also unlike any of their previous CDs they don't have Ska...not that Ska's a bad thing, but should stick to not doing ska anymore....although The War On Errorism has some Ska on it. Anyway, they might not have Ska on this CD but they certaintly have some Polka...well only the last song, "Theme From A NOFX Album.", which is pretty much a song all about NOFX. And there are also some love songs on this CD...including "Pharmacist's Daughter", "Loise" (Nothing better than a lesbian love song, as is there nothing wrong with love songs about days of the week and sex change operations.) This CD has everything including weird and wonderful artwork. Including the pill-poppin'-troll-dollesque nurse on the front cover and the cool barcode smashing dude on the back. But the best part is all the weird crap inside the booklet, which has the lyrics (of course, altough some aren't all that legible), posters, photos, an article on why they don't do interviews anymore and of course a guide to preparing vegan parties for children-obviously. I was even fooled the first time i looked through this CD that "NOFX are: Chavin, Ton, Lek and Toe." Needless to say they aren't...and just incase you were intrested the real NOFX lineup is Fat Mike, Eric Melvin, El Hefe, and "Smelly" Well anyway just like to say while i have the chance that NOFX are liars...and "Insulted By Germans" and "One Way Ticket To Fuckneckville" wern't on their next album...besides that....this was worth my $24.95... Also another thing I Like about this CD is that everytime I listen to this CD I find something new about it...even though i have listened to it way over 100 times (at least i think....i haven't been counting.) I didn't even know that on the song "Thank God It's Monday" they say "Monday is really good in German until about 2 months ago....alright I think this reviews gone on long enough Screenshots write a review
