 Fatal Promise Demo V.1.0 Developed By: TrujinReview By: Ramza Written on: Saturday, January, 03rd, 2004 at 04:18:10 pm Rating: 70% Site: here System: RPG Maker 2003 Download: here Gameplay 7/10 There were no battles in the game at all... apparently because it's CBS isn't finished yet or something... Tons of puzzles, some of which were slightly buggy... They were very challenging however... These aspects will make the game great in it's full version, combined with the CBS that will be in it, it will undoubtedly receive a perfect score here in the full release. Graphics 8/10 Good charactersets, although their animation looked a little weird... Most of the chipsets were either original or ripped from Chrono Trigger. But there's definately no shame in that. Maps were put together great. Graphics were great in this game for sure! Sound 9/10 100% custom music. My compliments to the composer! The music fit well with the scenes, and there was no lack of sound effects. My only trifle is with the fact that after 30 minutes in that damned factory, the music sort of got a bit annoying... but that's pretty much to be expected. Story 4/10 Not much here yet. The demo was kinda short, storywise, so you don't really get much of a feel for what's going on. Apparently, vampires exist and operate the world from behind the scenes or something of the like... There were a few typoes in the dialogue, but I sort of expect that from someone to whom english is not their first language. Unquitity 8/10 Custom menu, although not complete. There will be a CBS. The chipsets were pretty wicked, the charactersets were sutom. and the music was 100% original. Very very very unique game. Conclusion This is the epitome of what an rm2k3 game should be. Although the storyline seems to need a little work at this point, the graphics, gameplay and sound aspects of it are doing great! From now on when I think of an rm2k3 game this will be my first thought. When this game is complete, I know it will be one of the better rm2k(3) games out there. 7 + 8 + 9 + 4 + 8 = 36/50 x 2 = 72% = 7/10 Screenshots   write a review
