![]() Space Convicts (Demo) Developed By: GaryReview By: Ramza Written on: Friday, August, 15th, 2003 at 09:04:11 pm Rating: 60% Site: here System: RPG Maker 2000 Download: here Gameplay 3/5 Unfortunately, there weren't any minigames in this version... so that takes away from the mark a bit. There were a lot of puzzles, and other things that you have to do in order... However, you have to do them in the order Gary wants you to do them in, or you will die :'( Graphics 4/5 All the graphics in this game were custom. Some were edited RTP sprites, but still custom. Some of them looked a little weird, like that beaten up Rodger one. (in the screenshots) The graphics were made in a cel shading style, which I think worked well. Sound 3/5 Although I've never heard any of the music in the game in any other game, it did get a bit annoying after a while. There wasn't a lot of diversity in the music, but it always matched the mood. The sounds were used effectively, and were original from what I could tell. Story 2/5 The game really lacks in the storyline department. Many questions are left unanswered, and there is little character developement. The author could really improve upon this. Unquitity 4/5 There is a CBS, a lot of cutscenes, and a variety of puzzles that keep the player's interest. The CBS had a few bugs, but it was there, so I'll give him points for it =) Conclusion This game is funny, has a few puzzles, and a very basic CBS that some of you could learn from. I highly suggest you check it out, and I hope to see future releases of it =) 3+4+3+2+4=16/25 = 64% Screenshots write a review
