![]() Story of the Earth and Star Developed By: AstaleReview By: Ramza Written on: Sunday, November, 23rd, 2003 at 09:46:46 pm Rating: 60% Site: here System: RPG Maker 2000 Download: here Gameplay 9/10 The game was fun and played very well. There were no bugs. It used the DBS, but changed it to a side view, mimicking Lunar, which later becomes more apparent in the storyline and such. The monsters move around the maps, and when you touch them a fight begins. The screen fades in and out an awful lot. There are a lot of grammar issues, but I'll leave them be since english isn't this guy's first language Graphics 7/10 Many graphics ripped from various games. A few chipsets and charactersets that I haven't seen before, but they were probably not original. Some maps were layed out flawlessly, while others were horrible. Cutscenes had great animation, characters moved around freely during their dialogue and such. Pretty good score here. Sound 5/10 The sound effects were default RTP. Most of the music was ripped from Lunar or Lunar 2. There were a few tracks that I didn't recognize too... A musical glitch occurs during boss battles, where the normal battle music plays for about half a second and then switches to the boss music. I can't really give many points here for originality, the music was ripped from Lunar for a Lunar type game... Story 6/10 Starts off with a prince who has apparently been kept in the castle all his life. One day him and his guardian knight Lance decide to sneak out of the castle, where they meet a few other people. That one day out of the castle unleashes an urge for adventuring in the young prince that kinda changes his life forever... that and the fact that his parent want him to marry a girl he doesn't even know too I suppose. The story is loosely based off of Lunar. In fact, it says so in many parts of the game. The main characters (excpet for Lance) have no names, so I ended up giving them corny names.. perhaps real names would put this mark up some... Unquitity 5/10 well, it does have a side view styled DBS, and it was doing a pretty good job of mimicking Lunar... But I can't call a rip off game entirely original, so I'll just leave it at average. Conclusion A pretty fun game, and pretty long too. If you've got some time to play an rm2k game, I recommend this one. The batles aren't boring at all, and the storyline is pretty interesting for and rm2k game. 9 + 7 + 5 + 6 + 5 = 32/50 = 64% = 6/10 Screenshots write a review
