Gameplay
3/10
Pretty much default everything was used. Attacking was useless... you were to use these card slash skills to summon digimon to battle for you... mean you used a skill with a digmon animation to do damage... Pretty basic concept. The enemies are way too hard... and after a while I ended up not being able to do much in battle at all.. so I didn't really go through the whole game...

Graphics
6/10
Most of the battle backgrounds were default rtp. A lot of the chipsets were mack and blue. Many of the charactersets weren't default rtp, but I had seem them kicking around before. There were a ton of pictures of these digimon in game... there was a cool cutscene at the beginning with the credits. The facesets of the main characters were all blurry and watermarked... as were some of the monster sets for the digimon. What it lacked in use, it made up for in customization.

Sound
4/10
Digimon musics taken from all 4 seasons of digimon there was also an Evangelion midi thrown in there too. I didn't like the battle theme much, and the victory theme was even more lacking... Although the music didn't make my ears bleed, it didn't really fit where it was used very well at all.

Story
4/10
You and two of your friends are a brand new tamer team... and you guys fight in tournaments to raise your rank... when you're not fighting in the tournaments, you're training in the training place... The game seems a lot like the megaman battle network games in respect to the fact that you log in and out of the digital world, much in the same way that you do in the third "Digimon World" game... However, I feel that this storyline kinda sucks... well partly because there isn't much of a storyline to speak of at all... It also doesn't really do the digimon franchise justice... I used to be a big fan of those digital dudes... And you'd have to be a diehard fan to really be able to sit through and play this all the way...

Unquitity
2/10
How unique could a game based off of one of the largest anime franchises in the world be? Well for a game, it isn't original at all... but for an rm2k game... it is a concept that has yet to be used. The battle animations, although somewhat screwy, were probably custom made for this game alone... and the basic concept of the game is totally original in terms of rm2k games. However, this game doesn't stand up to all the hype and stuff that comes with a game based off of another game... Much in the sameway as an FF7 sequel on rm2k would. Unfortunately, this game just won't fly.

Conclusion
Well... the graphics were obviously it's strong point. This game certain doesn't excel in storyline, sound or gameplay. But if you really like digimon... and I mean really.. give it a shot... you'll probably be pretty disappointed in it... but at least you kept yourselve busy for a few hours...
3 + 6 + 4 + 4 + 2 = 19/50 = 38% = 4/10
