![]() Adventures of RTP: Troy Developed By: MickygorReview By: Ramza Written on: Monday, October, 06th, 2003 at 10:48:37 am Rating: 30% Site: here System: RPG Maker 2000 Download: here Gameplay 2/10 There were a few puzzles... Just one with some switches that you have to turn on and off if I recall correctly. Besides that, the DBS was really annoying... I found myself banging my head on the monitor... The Dragons at the begining of the game are way too hard, and then the enemies directly after them are way too easy... Fights for the most part of the game were just mindless mashing of the spacebar... Didn't even have really cool battle animations. Graphics 4/10 For the most part, the game was done with RTP graphics. (don't try to tell me you didn't guess by the name of the game) There were a few non-RTP sprites, chips and battle backgrounds, but most were RTP. The maps for the most part were made fairly well, although there was the odd messed up one. Sound 6/10 Default RTP sound effects. The music on the other hand is a different story. Not one RTP track! (that's good) The music used in the game wasn't custom, I've heard a lot of it in the Legion Saga series, but it all fit the mood, and was used flawlessly. By far, this game's strong part is it's cool music. Story 2/10 Story? The creator of this game meant well with the story, but it didn't quite turn out how he saw it I'd say... The little tiny bit of background info you get at the beginning thrusts 'Troy' into a mission where he must deliever a peace treaty to some other country to end the war. Right after that is said, random things start happening, and left me going "what the hell is going on". It's clear the author made up this game as he went along. He gets a story mark to reflect that. Unquitity 1/10 A few custom monster graphics, that seem to have been ripped from some 3D game. Besides that, there isn't much to mention here... Conclusion This guy definately knew his way around the basics of rm2k, now all he needs to do is work on the RTP graphics and story and he'll be all set. If you're looking for a game with a deep storyline, don't touch this one, but if you have nothing better to do, why not give it a try? 2+4+6+2+1=15/50=30% Screenshots write a review
