![]() Guardians of Earth: Island of Betrayal Developed By: GamemasterReview By: Ramza Written on: Friday, August, 15th, 2003 at 08:58:35 pm Rating: 70% Site: here System: RPG Maker 2000 Download: here Gameplay 6/10 The system is a lot different than any ever made in rm2k before... however, the controls are very dodgy... and there are some movement issue bugs to work out... rm2k wasn't made to make platform shooter type games... so it's really hard to make and play. Graphics 7/10 They were orginal.. although the maps tend to be made out of two chips... Blocks of stuff floatred above the ground... and the graphics were bad enough that you couldn't tell why... some things appeared blocky and lacked color... but it was still original. Sound 8/10 There were a lot of sounds... As you would expect to hear in a platform shooter type game... They were used well... The music seemed to be froim other shooter type games... I noticed some megaman music in there... It all went good with the game. Story 3/10 Something has taken over the technologically advanced culture... and it's up to you to stop them with your megaman battle armor... built to test it... not to make you invincible... The story is very sad at best... but then again it isn't an rpg... Unquitity 9/10 This game has a unique system never before used in rm2k games. Platform shooter games are hard to make and the author spent a long time making it... this mark reflects his effort =) Conclusion Unless you really like megaman, don't go near this... XD err well it isn't too bad... after you work around the control problems and such... I've never seena game like this, and it's worth a try. 6+7+8+3+9=33/50 = 66% Screenshots write a review
