for those who haven't noticed:

Mana Conquest lives!

check out the updated stuff in the topic in the forums, or click here. Also, if someone has some free time, the official site needs some work, purple isn't the theme color anymore, and my drawings in the banner are horrendous. Anyone wanna make me a layout? XD

engine001 update
posted on: Saturday, July, 08th, 2006 at 08:07:10 am at Game Creation
I just got word from our affiliate, engine001.com, that they've released an update for their game engine with the same name. These are the words of Mike at team001:

Pierre and I over at www.engine001.com are proud to announce that we’ve just released a new version of game creating engine. Among some of the new features, engine001 now boasts a new shop and inn feature, support for MP3, MP2, MP1, OGG, WAV, and AIFF audio files and melee weapons among various fixes and additions. This is – by far – the most stable and reliable version of the maker we have released thus far.

List of major changes:

Added melee weapons.
Fixed tons of bugs, crashes and broken features (about 80).
Put back in text scripter.
Added shops and inns.
Added support for MP3, MP2, MP1, OGG, WAV, and AIFF audio files.

New Contest!
posted on: Friday, January, 13th, 2006 at 01:25:10 am at Game Creation
Well, lets face it. Contests here usually suck. They usually have one or two entrants, and usually the results aren't quite the best things you've ever seen. Well I've decided to end the monotony. This is an rm2k based contest, but you don't even need to have rm2k installed to win.

This contest is about my game which I recently released, Mana Conquest. All you need to do to win is play the game, you don't even need to play it all the way through.

Here's how it works:
There are two different ways to win the contest, the first is kind of easy, the second is rather hard.

The first way is to bms me the name of the book which appears in almost every town in the game. And it's not about hobo joe, since those are different books. The first 5 people to bms me the name of the book will win 20 tokens (woot).

The second way is to show me a screenshot of the "easter egg" (hidden event) in Damsil. You'll know it when you see it. The first person to bms me a screenshot of said event will win 50 tokens. Note: you can look around damsil all you like, the event only has a 50% chance of happening, and will only happen once per game.

You can download the game here

Only one attempt per person per contest can be made. So don't send me a bms unless you're fairly sure.

The first major bug fix for the game since it's official release has been completed. The fixed version 1.4 can now be downloaded at the above link.

Bug fixes for this version include:
-The earth and air elementals in Dedja using the same switch for their speech now use the proper switches.
-The minigame prize payout glitches have been fixed (hopefully XD)
-The missing files "forest4 red.png", "phaze.png", "ps4FB background.png", "credits.link.wav", and "credits.mp3" have been added to the installer.

Big thanks to Gamemaster for pointing out all of these bugs. I figure they would have been caught before the official release had zalbag actually played the game >.>

mana conquest

My little project Mana Conquest Is finally complete. and although it may contain some glitches due to a lack of testing (fuck you zalbag), I have deemed it ready for you, the players and loyal fans to play.

It took THE UNDERTAKER almost 15 hours to go through it, it takes me around 11, so expect your play time to be somewhere in the middle. Now the graphics aren't really all that great, but keep in mind, I made them, and I'm njot exactly a graphics wizard.

and now, without further adieu, I present to you,

Mana Conquest!

note that if you find any bugs, either bms them or email them to me.

~Ramza out.

I might have submitted the same NPC twice, I made their names too similar. @_@ and I forgot to add where the resources go. ._.; Sorry, I'm new at resource submitting. >_>;

comment by Ramza on Monday, January, 17th, 2005 at 05:33:18 pm

yeah, I think the picture was the same, so only one of those went through.

How come my three reviews are missing? I didn't do anything wrong did I?

comment by Ramza on Monday, January, 17th, 2005 at 07:53:25 pm

might have been one of the ones with no title or author. I get a lot of those, I'd have to say it's probably a bug that losl has refused to fix up to this point.

comment by Cernus on Monday, January, 17th, 2005 at 09:14:14 pm

No, I definately put the title in, I was very careful. And the two other reviews were of "Lore of the Ancients" and "Crazy Guys Journey" that I did ages ago, and they've just vanished.

comment by Ramza on Tuesday, January, 18th, 2005 at 01:50:49 am

hmm you're right... and I recall submitting it and even reading your last review.

strange indeed.

re-submit them if possible.

comment by Cernus on Tuesday, January, 18th, 2005 at 05:18:16 am

lol i can't remember what I said in most of them. I'll re-submit them shortly but don't give me any credits or anything, cos that would just be cheating the system :P

comment by Ramza on Tuesday, January, 18th, 2005 at 01:43:59 pm

the system will give you the tokens automatically, think of it as payment for having them removed XD

comment by Cernus on Tuesday, January, 18th, 2005 at 05:59:09 pm

Thanks :D I've just submitted all my reviews again, they will be a bit different but pretty similar.
