RIP Gary Gygax. In some ways, what he's accomplished has affected my life greatly.

I met him once at GenCon, he was a really nice guy and was willing to talk to a little kid like me about the concepts of the game and all that. The world is a better place because of him. May he enjoy his stay in the astral planes.

pfft, everyone knows his corpse would be drifting around the outer planes, where it would inevitably become a home for githyanki or something..
XD
anyway, yeah, to quote what I've heard on Attack of the Show:
"anyone who's ever enjoyed final fantasy or dragon warrior, or any other rpg ever has been touched by gary gygax, while you may have never been a direct fan of his work, the modern rpg genre is what it is today because of his creation, Dungeons and Dragons."
Amen.

This man may have influenced RPGs as we know 'em today.
Perhaps, one could go as far as to say we wouldn't be here if it weren't for him.

I know I wouldn't be here if it weren't for him. Certain key events in my past shaping my life and all that.

May he rest in peace... wherever the resting place is for him... I wish I knew.
