Ramza
RPG Maker Daily News #2
posted on: Saturday, December, 08th, 2007 at 07:43:31 pm at Cortex
Hey, it's Ramza here with a bit of news. We're trying to liven the site up a bit by having news every day. Took some digging but I managed to find something worthy of mention. It's sort of old news, but I guess since no one here has never used it before we can benefit by having it refreshed in our minds a bit.

Have you ever wanted to make a multiplayer rm game? Did you ever wish you had more than 2 input buttons? MP3 music? Mouse support for all your point and click needs? You should probably download GameMaker!

Ehh, you all know about that already. If you don't want to use Game Maker to do it, we still have an alternative. The [Ineluki Key Patch!] It installs on your rm2k (and some versions of rm2k3, but it's not recommended) and uses some custom dlls, and such to run hack scripts through the sound effects in the maker. The results cannot be denied. Full mouse support, mp3 sound, full keyboard. All is within your grasp with the ineluki patch.

I had actually found it a few years back, but as the readme was in german, I couldn't figure out how to get it's functionality into my games. But that is a problem in the past now, someone translated the readme, or figured it out or something and we now have english instructions. [Click here] to read them.

I look forward to playing some games with enabled mouse support, and other features that this patch allows in the future.

~Ramza

edit: Link fixed. they apparently don't allow hotlinking, so I hosted it here. enjoy.

Yeah, Game Maker rules!

But I've never heard of that patch for RM2k/3. I should probably try it out ASAP.

Ramza the link for the ineluki key patch is broken.

the site doesn't allow hotlinking, I'll have to fix it later.

http://dl1.rpg-atelier.net/ressourcen2/programme/

go there and find it on the main page, the site is german, but it's easy enough to find it if you're looking for it.

Also, it might work if you copy and paste the link into your address bar instead of clicking it, because of the hotlinking thing they got going on.

does it work with rm2k3? or rm2k?

comment by Ramza on Saturday, December, 08th, 2007 at 10:58:25 pm

it works with rm2k completely, rm2k3 is somewhat compatible, but certain translations or versions don't work very well. it's recommended to use rm2k with it.

Ramza: We (blade2k) has got Inelukis permission to host the file by ourselves.
Just a side note...
Was a long time ago though, so I'm not sure if it's still standing.

alright, I'll upload it later then (when I'm home). If he decides to revoke his permission later, that's fine.
